SUMMARY AS OF:
3/15/2001--Introduced. Permits an individual or business located in a State experiencing a power emergency on any given day to operate any type of power generation available using any fuel available, to ensure the individual's or business' economic stability.Requires any person or State official, upon the request of either the Secretary of Energy or the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, to share information regarding the available supply of or the projected demand for electricity.Prohibits emissions attributable to generation permitted solely because of such power emergency from being taken into account for purposes of determining the attainment or nonattainment status of an area under the Clean Air Act.
