PoliGu - Who we are

Poligu.com has no affiliation with any outside group. While the editorial pieces may opinionated, the information presented for the representatives is intended to be impartial and factual. This website was created to hold the information that the creators felt they would like to know about a representative.

The controversies described for each representative are meant to describe the facts surrounding the events and not represent opinions on guilt or character. The positions of each representative are summarized by moderators for PoliGu.com and supported with quotes, video, and campaign literature.

Contribute

PoliGu is not a wiki style website where the users control the content. Members are allowed to suggest edits to existing writeups on political positions of representatives and on controversies. The changes are not displayed until a moderator looks at them, checks them, and then incorporates them. We are working to add in all known controversies and catalog the viewpoints of all representatives. If you would like to suggest a controversy for a representative or a political position, that can be done by finding the representative under the "Representatives" tab, and selecting controversies or political positons and then selected the appropriate anchor at the center of the page.

Status

Right now, we are working on filling out as much information as possible about those who are up for re-election in the US Senate. Governors and House members are next. If you would like a specific race focused on, drop us a line and we will work on it immediately.

In the future

In the not-to-distant future, we hope to add in profiles for mayors and city councilmen and eventually work in state representatives. The hope is that for any election, national or local, primary or general election, the candidates records and views can be seen without opinion or influence.
