The purpose of PoliGu.com is to provide a website to collect as much information as possible about each candidate or representative, and to display that information in a simpel format. To achieve this goal, as much of the following information as possible is displayed:

• Summary, contact information, and related news articles
• Voting statistics such as party-line and missed votes
• Election results for the office they hold
• Bills they sponsored
• Key votes on issues
• Controversies
• Campaign Promises
• Political Positions
• Speeches and Debates
• Fact Checks

In addition to these items, there are statistics calculatted for the US House and US Senate that show the following items:

• Total Number of Votes
• Party Line Votes
• Missed Votes
• Votes with the Majority
• Line Votes
• Cloture Votes

There is also a section devoted to elections that shows the representatives up for relection and their current status. There is a polls section that allows members to vote in polls and submit poll question for other members to vote on. There are also bills and votes sections that show the bills and votes by year.
