Tracy Potter on Social Security

Last Updated : Jul 19, 2010

Summary

State Senator Potter has proposed the removal of the individual cap on income for social security (currently at $106,000).

Removing per person cap

In July of 2010, Tracy Potter released a press statement indicating that he would remove the per person cap on social security as a means of retaining solvency in the program.

In his second grill side chat, State Senator Potter argued for the same position of removing personal caps and he stated that this may reduce the overall tax level for the remaining constituents.
