Summary

Dr. Rand Paul opposes amnesty for illegal aliens. He has called for the enforcement of immigration laws, and the enforcement of the original intent of the 14th amendment which did not intend for children of illegal aliens to be citizens. He supports Arizona's attempt to enforce the law.

In a press release in June of 2010, Rand Paul stated that he opposes amnesty and would work to enforce border security.

 

Support for Arizona immigration law

In a video compiled by CN|2, Dr. Paul and Attorney General Conway state their views on the Arizona immigration law. Dr. Paul supports the law.

In a May 2010 interview with a russian TV station, Dr. Paul was questioned about immigration and stated that both parties are to blame for the problem. He also noted that incoming immigrants register Democrat 3 to 1 and that this causes a reluctance to enforce the law on the behalf of that party.
