Alexi Giannoulias on Social Security

Summary

To make the social security system solvent, Alexi Giannoulias has proposed making the social security system solvent by increasing the taxable wage base, raising the cap on taxable income, means testing - cutting off benefits to those who already have enough to sustain themselves. He sets that limit at $5 million in assets. He states that right now the program is solvent until 2037. 

Giannoulias also supports allowing medicare to negotiate bulk discounts.
