Summary

Bill Flores supports amnesty for illegal aliens. He states on his campaign site that he opposes a "blanket amnesty" for those in the country illegally, but in an interview he stated that a solution to the illegal alien problem is to "seal the border" and then find out who is here. He states it would be difficult to remove those already here.

 

Star Group Interview

In May of 2010, Mr. Flores gave an interview with the Star Group Newspapers where he spoke about his views on immigration. He stated that he opposed a blanket amnesty, but then spoke about "dealing with" the people already here and that deportation would be hard on Americans.

Removing Funds for Lawsuits

In May of 2012, the House voted on an amendment put forth by Congresswoman Black of Tennessee. The Amendment was to prohibit the use of funds to be used by the Attorney General to originate or join in any lawsuit that sought to overturn, enjoin, or invalidate Immigration Enforcement Laws in Oklahoma, Missouri, Arizona, Utah, Indiana, Alabama, South Carolina, and Georgia. The amendment passed 238-173 with most Republicans supporting it and most Democrats opposing it. Bill Flores voted in favor of the amendment.
