Partial Birth Abortion

In June of 2003, the House passed the partial birth abortion ban act. The legislation sought to to prohibit any physician or other individual from knowingly performing a partial-birth abortion, except when necessary to save the life of a mother that is endangered by a physical disorder, illness, or injury. Although it passed in the house, it was not brought to a vote in the Senate. William Janklow voted in favor of the Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act of 2003.
