John Kasich on Health Care

Last Updated : Aug 17, 2010

Summary

Congressman Kasich opposed the 2009 health care reform legislation. He was critical of the structure of the reform, and of the method and tactics used to force it through Congress. He has stated that he would push for reform in Ohio which allows consumers to purchase health insurance across state lines, reducing frivolous lawsuits even further than has already been done in Ohio, covering pre-existing conditions, encouraging healthier lifestyles, and using technology, electronic medical records and e-prescriptions to improve care and reduce errors.
