Auto Industry Financing and Restructuring Act
As the last vote in the 2008 session, the House passed the Auto Industry Financing and Restructuring Act. Although the legislation was not brought up for a vote in the Senate, it provided the blueprint for how Presidents Bush and Obama would later deal with GM. Collin Peterson voted against the legislation to assist GM.
