CAP & TRADE

I would have opposed the Cap and Trade legislation. I support taking measured, sensible steps to ensure that our environment is protected but not at the cost of our economic prosperity and especially not during uncertain economic times like we are experiencing now. The United States has some of the strictest emission policies in the world but when you start penalizing companies with job-killing regulations like Cap and Trade does, we will only force industries to leave the U.S. to a country with far lesser or no environmental standards, which will ultimately be far worse for the environment.
