Legal Immigration/Border Security
This country has been an attractive destination for the people of foreign nations since our inception. The attraction has always been “opportunity”. Now it’s gravitating towards “entitlement”. It is too expensive, for our hard working citizens, to allow our country to be a safe haven for people who want to come here illegally to receive free benefits!
Immigrants must come here legally, like the millions before them! Our system needs to be tweaked to allow for qualified, skilled workers to come here, perhaps through a work visa, stay as long as they are law abiding, tax paying, productive citizens and follow a legal path toward citizenship. However, we cannot allow illegal, undocumented workers to file false tax returns that allow them to receive over 4 Billion dollars a year in tax returns when they pay nothing into our system.
