Governor Christie of pro-life. He supports the exceptions for rape and incest. He opposes public funding for abortions.

In 2010, Governor Christie removed $7.5 million in public funding which was allocated for Planned Parenthood. Although Democrats in the state legislation wrote legislation to return funding to the group, Governor Christie vetoed the legislation.

In June of 2011, Governor Christie appeared on the Piers Morgan show and discussed the solidification of his pro-life beliefs when he heard his daughter's heartbeat at 13 weeks. Later that month, he noted on Meet the Press that he was pro-life and ran in a pro-choice state by simply stating "Look, my name is on the ballot. I am pro-life, I believe in exceptions for rape, incest and the life of the mother. That's my position, take it or leave it."

Piers Morgan Interview

In June of 2011, Governor Christie was interviewed by Piers Morgan on CNN. He spoke about hearing his child's heartbeat for the first time and solidifying his position on abortion.

 

Meet the Press

On June 26, 2011 Governor Christie appeared on Meet the Press and was asked about his views on abortion. He notes that he is pro-life and supports the exceptions for rape and incest.
