John Lynch on Taxes

Last Updated : Oct 08, 2010

Summary

Governor Lynch states that the budget for the state of New Hampshire is balanced and that it has a surplus. He states that he opposes a state sales tax or income tax. He supports the creation of an R&D tax credit.

Governor Lynch has sign into law a tax on investments into LLC's which was projected to bring in an additional $15 Million in revenue. He later called for and signed a repeal on that law. There are numerous sources which state that the state's budget has a deficit and that this tax was part of the method used to lesson that deficit.
