Rosen Out of Maryland 1 Race

Sep 12, 2012 - NEWS
Wendy Rosen won the Democratic nomination in April by less than 1 percent. Now, she is resigning from that race after allegations were made that she voted in both Florida and Maryland in 2006 and 2008. Mrs Rosen, told The Baltimore Sun that she registered to vote in Florida several years ago in order to support a "very close friend" running for the St. Petersburg City Council and to vote on local issues there. Apparently, she was able to register in Florida because she owned property there.
it is unclear as to whether her name will remain on the ballot, but that seems to be the case as the deadline has passed. The opponent that she narrowly defeated in the primary, John LaFerla will take her place as a write-in candidate.
The Republican incumbent in that office unseated Democratic Congressman Frank Kravitol in 2010. However, the seat has been largely Republican prior to Mr Kravitol's 2008 victory there.
