Title : Waiving a requirement of clause 6(a) of rule XIII with respect to consideration of certain resolutions reported from the Committee on Rules.

 

SUMMARY AS OF:
7/28/2006--Passed House without amendment.    (There are 2 other summaries) (This measure has not been amended since it was introduced. The summary of that version is repeated here.) Waives a specified requirement of Rule XIII (Calendars and Committee Reports) to allow consideration of the following measures on the same day they are presented to the House: (1) a conference report to accompany H.R. 2830 (Pension Protection Act of 2005); (2) a bill to amend the Internal Revenue Code to increase the unified credit against the estate tax to an exclusion equivalent of $5 million, repeal the sunset provision for the estate and generation-skipping taxes, and extend expiring provisions; and (3) a bill to provide economic security for all Americans.
