Title : To expedite the construction of the World War II memorial in the District of Columbia.

 

SUMMARY AS OF:
5/21/2001--Passed Senate amended.    (There are 2 other summaries) Requires the World War II memorial, as described in plans approved by the Commission on Fine Arts and selected by the National Capital Planning Commission in accordance with a special use permit issued by the Secretary of the Interior, to be constructed expeditiously at the dedicated Rainbow Pool site in the District of Columbia.States that the decision to locate the memorial at such site, the actions of the above Commissions, and the issuance of the permit shall not be subject to judicial review.
