Fiscal Accountability

Governent must be held accountable to balance the budget by eliminating waste and reducing spending before raising taxes. Before enacting any law or regulation the ecomomic impact should be calculated fairly and disclosed publicly. Federal, State and Local governments should not burden future generations with excessive debt.

Spending vs Revenue

There are two opposing theories for balancing the budget. One calls for a reduction in spendign to bring costs in line with revenue. The other calls for increasing revenue through taxation to meet the cost of government functions. In general, which one of these two mentalities best describes your view on balancing the budget?

REDUCE TAXES AND CUT SPENDING,BALANCE BUDGET, CREATE PROFIT CENTER GOVERNMENT AGENCY APPROACH,CUT TAXES TO CREATE REVENUE AND NEW US BUSINESSES AND INDUSTRIES, REAUTOMATE THE US MANUFACTURING AND UTILITIES INFRASTRUCTURE

How do you decide when it is time to raise revenue and when it is time to lower spending?

ALWAYS THE RIGHT TIME TO RAISE REVENUE,CUT SPENDING AND CUT OR ELIMINATE TAXES, WASTE AND DUPLICATION

Matching Costs vs Lowering Taxes

Is it more important to balance the budget or lower taxes?

BOTH,BALANCE THE BUDGET AND LOWER TAXES YIELDS INCREASED REVENUES, DUE TO THE CUT IN THE COST OF DEBT SERVICE NOW AT 40% OF REVENUES AND CLIMBING FAST

Does the inflationary effects of deficit spending warrant immediate tax increases and spending cuts to balance the budget, or is the threat of higher taxes and less government service more dangerous to the economy?

CUT OR ELIMINATE TAXES TO INCREASE PRODUCTIVITY AND CUT SPENDING AT THE SAME TIME TO INCREASE REVENUES BY MORE US BUSINESS WORLDWIDE

Cut, Cap, and Balance

In July of 2011, the House and Senate voted on the Cut, Cap, and Balance Plan. The plan would cut the amount of discretionary spending, cap it at a given level, and then call for the passage of a balanced budget amendment. Do you support or oppose this legislation and why or why not?

WAY TO COMPLEX, TIES HANDS TOO MUCH,TRUST,HONOR AND RESPECT, HISTORIC CUTS AND CAPS ARE ONLY ON INCREASES,WE MUST REALLY BALANCE THE BUDGET,ELIMINATE BOTH THE ANNUAL DEFICIT AND THE LONG TERM DEBT OF THE USA

Specific Tax Increases

If you support an increase in taxation to balance the budget, what specific increases or loophole closures would you support? NO, CUT TAXES,LINE ITEM VETO TO CUT WASTE AND EARMARKS ON BILLS

Specific Spending Cuts

If you support a reduction in spending to balance to budget, in what specific areas would you make cuts?

CUT EARMARKS, CUT WASTE, CREATE PROFIT CENTERS AT SECRETARY LEVEL FOR CABINET - REQUIRE POSITIVE CASH FLOW ALL DEPARTMENTS, 13% FLAT TAX FOR ALL,ZERO CORPORATE AND ESTATE TAXES FOR ALL,BALANCED BUDGET WITH SURPLUS INVESTED NOT SPENT ANNUALLY TO BUILD A USA TRUST FUND,FOLLOW CONSTITUTION

What departments or agencies would you cut?

13% FLAT TAX, FOR ALL , TREASURY, HOMELAND, EPA MAKE CABINET LEVEL DEPARTMENT,EDUCATION,CONSOLIDATE DOE, CONSOLIDATE NON DEFENSE OTHER DEPARTMENTS AND STREAMLINE HIERARCHY OF GOVERMENT TO BE FLAT

Simpson-Bowles

The Simpson-Bowles committee was put together by President Obama to develop a plan on deficit reduction. Do you support or oppose the recommendations made by this committee?

GOOD START WITH CHANGES, STRONGLY SUPPORT, BALANCE BUDGET AND COMPLETE DEFICIT ELIMINATION TO SURPLUS FOR USA TRUST FUND FOR ALL.
